About Us

Phil Foell, besides being an ordained minister, has a BS in Management and Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University. He worked for 15 years for an international company where he was exposed to strategic planning and many leadership programs including "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey. Phil's responsibilities there included software programming, personnel management, project management, team integration and he led several process-improvement initiatives for his department. Phil worked for 5 years at Christian Community Church where he had a broad field of experience: he has been an usher, bookkeeper, greeter, missions coordinator, small group leader, section leader, speaker, teacher, team building facilitator and elder. As a result, he comes with a vocational background rich with administrative, vision casting, managerial, statistical, computer, personnel, and detail-oriented skills. This comes meshed with a passionate commitment to Jesus Christ and the desire to build the church through worship, fellowship, discipleship, service and outreach to the neighborhood and to the world.

Ellen Foell received a J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University and practiced law for many years before becoming a full-time stay at home mother and home-schooler. Her interests include worship, teaching and missions. She has written and taught Bible studies for many years. She is a frequent speaker at Women's retreats. She teaches a Constitutional Law class to high school students and interested parents. She coaches a Hilliard High School trial court club. Before they were married, Ellen spent two years in Thailand as a missionary teacher.  Phil & Ellen have been the primary contacts in the USA for Agape Home orphanage (www.nikkisplace.org) in Chiang Mai, Thailand since 2000.  In this capacity, they have recruited over 425 sponsors and raised over $522,000.00.

Vision

We envision expansion of the kingdom of God’s influence in Columbus and the world as we extend the reach of multiple churches across new and existing bridges by:

• Reaching neighborhoods as we serve in the foundational and influential sphere of public education (K-12)

• Reaching nations as we minister to the needs of existing and potential leaders of nations as they pursue educational opportunities at Ohio State University and other local universities.

Core Values

• Christ Centered – We are Christ centered in all we do.

• Unity – we seek to build and encourage unity in the work among different churches

• Influence – we strive to intentionally influence leaders by building relationships in the neighborhoods we serve.

• Train – we desire to train and launch leaders in neighborhoods and to the nations

• Best Practices – we identify, promote and incorporate best practices in existing ministries in our areas of service

• Partner – we cooperate and partner with private and public corporations, civic groups, government and non-governmental organizations.

• Needs – we identify felt needs specifically in the arena of education (K-12) and for international students on OSU campus.

Mission

Our mission is discovering, creating and crossing bridges that extend the church into neighborhoods and nations.

We have several primary partners as we endeavor to follow God's direction.

in Neighborhoods - Missions Columbus - Mobilizing the church in Columbus to transform the city spiritually and socially.  Also partnering with the Greater Hilltop Area Shalom Zone.

in Nations - International Friendships, Inc - Serving internationals and partnering with them to make Christ known among the nation.
